Dear Dr. Dunham, I just listened to your service for today. It was just was just wonderful…just exactly what I needed today. Thank you so much. Your words and voice are an oasis in this lonely desert. And the hymns chosen for today brought me back to my childhood, perfect choices for this moment. Stay safe and well.

How do we download written format of today’s and recent sermons? I do not see them in the archives.

    1. FPC says:

Go to the foot of the home page, click on the sermon title. A new window will open with several icons. Click the book icon. Thanks Isobel, stay safe.

    Dear Dr. Dunham:

Thank you so much for the service this morning. My friend Carol and I attended together, using our speaker phones. As always, your words were inspiring and made me reflect. I am very grateful. And my favorite hymn, Be Thou My Vision.

I am also deeply grateful for your sermon about forgiveness in early January, and the quote from Mandela “Forgiveness liberates the soul”, which gave me the courage to talk to my brother on my visit to the U.K. in January. This at least opened a little crack, but still a beginning. Who knows when I will be able to go back.

    Rev Dunham,
Barbara and I just wanted to express our deep thanks for today’s service. In these unsettling and challenging times, your inspired words, the beautiful music, and the familiar flow of the service brought us a deep sense of comfort, a clear and welcome reminder of the true foundation of our lives, and a deep sense of connection with the community that is so much a part of us. Many thanks to all who, I’m sure, worked so hard to bring this to us.

    1. FPC says:

Hello George and Barbara. Thank you for the kind words. I have forwarded to Bob. Well wishes until we can all come together again! Hallie

    Dear Dr. Dunham:

Sorry, I forgot to ask for the name of the hymn book used at First Presbyterian. I would like to order one for home from the PCUSA website so that I can sing.

    Many thanks

    1. FPC says:

Hello Ruby, we use the Glory to God purple hymnal, 2013 edition. Stay well!
