The sacrament of Baptism is a joyful celebration of the people of God.

Please call our front desk to inquire about dates.

Our Presbyterian Book of Order tells us that “Baptism enacts and seals what the Word proclaims: God’s redeeming grace offered to all people. Baptism is God’s gift of grace and also God’s summons to respond to that grace” (W-2.3006). The sacrament unites us with Jesus Christ and makes us members of God’s family, the Church.

Infant and children’s baptisms are generally scheduled one Sunday a month during the worship service. (Adult baptisms are typically part of the service receiving new members into the congregation, which takes place about four times a year. For infant baptism one guardian should be a member of the church. A baptism application must be completed, and the parent or guardian must attend a Preparation for Baptism Class. These classes are scheduled for a group of parents in advance and are held in the library at 9:30am before Sunday worship. Parents may attend any one of these meetings before the date of baptism. If you are interested in having a child baptized please complete this form and indicate which class you plan to attend. In certain instances, a private meeting with one of the clergy can be arranged.
