Young Adults Ministry of the First Presbyterian Church

The Young Adults Ministry at the First Presbyterian Church seeks to serve members and frequent visitors in their twenties and thirties who are looking for an outlet to express their voices and beliefs through worship, friendship and service. Whatever the familial situation (single, coupled, married, etc.), this is often a time of seeking- seeking community, seeking spiritual identity, seeking a vocation, seeking a faith home. The Young Adults Ministry aims to provide opportunities in the context of a ‘new’ community- the extended family that is the church. The group is connected with other committees and programs of the church, serving as a ‘jumping-off’ point to active participation in the wider church.

Our hope is to create a community of diverse people that is built on the common ground of being younger, New York City residents who have found a spiritual home at the First Presbyterian Church.
