The Tower
The Tower began publication in 1924, primarily to distribute the sermons of our then popular Associate Minister Harry Emerson Fosdick. It also included articles on First Church history and faith issues of the day. Over the subsequent decades it has changed with the needs of the Church. It is changing once again.
Copies of the Tower are available here on the website and in the lobby of the Mellin-Macnab Building. This year, it was decided to print the Tower annually rather than the customary four or five issues per year. The Tower Board hopes to see this publication evolve into something more like a journal, with in-depth articles on First Church history, personal faith reflections, a pastoral message, poems, etc. and to a large extent we see it returning to its original focus.
