About Podcasting

General Information

Podcasting enables you to listen to audio or video files at the time and place of your choosing. It is a way of publishing audio to the web, allowing people to subscribe and receive new ”episodes” automatically. To begin, you must have podcasting software such as iTunes (which is available for free for Mac or PC) installed on your computer. Follow your program’s instructions for subscribing to podcasts and modifying preference settings for updates. You can listen directly from your computer through the software, or on-the-go by synching up a portable MP3 player, such as an iPod.

About First Church Podcasts

Our podcast currently consists of our Sunday sermons which are usually posted by mid-week. We are looking at other options such as adding music to each weekly installment. Your feedback can help us to develop this new medium.

How do I get them?

If you have iTunes click here to go to our page in the iTunes Music Store. From that page you can click the subscribe button to begin getting regular updates. For reference, our podcast can be found in the iTunes music store under “Religion & Spirituality – Christianity” (or search for our name).
