Deacons

The word deacon is derived from the Greek word diakonos which is an ancient Greek word meaning “servant”.

Here at First Church, Deacons provide a variety of services to our community.

Deacons minister to those who are in need, to the sick and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith.

Requests for Deacons should be directed to the Deacon of the Month telephone number, the Board e-mail (boardofdeacons@fpcnyc.org) or if urgent, to the Pastoral staff.
