Baptisms are generally scheduled one Sunday a month during the worship service.

Those interested in having a child baptized should contact the church office at (212) 675-6150 to obtain a form and schedule of pre-baptism classes and baptism dates. Pre-baptism classes are usually held the Sunday before the baptism, following the worship service. At least one parent should be a member of the church. Adults wishing to be baptized or to become a member of First Church should also contact the church office for more information.

Pre-baptism meetings for parents are required and scheduled for a group of parents in advance. Once scheduled, meetings are held in the library at 12:30 PM after Sunday worship and last about 20 minutes. Parents may attend any one of these meetings before the date of baptism. Baptism takes place during an 11 AM service of worship.
